Xiao Ling is an Ancient Spirit Adept of the same order as Kadras and Archbishop Karen. His reincarnation can be triggered only through the ancient Kechaer coin; every failed cycle damages his spirit and erases the memories of the cycles before it. Once sensitive and uncertain, he is shaped by mentorship, spirit-beast contracts and repeated loss into a resolute leader. Protecting Ai Li becomes his deepest personal bond, but breaking the chain that enslaves the Three Realms remains the original purpose of his reincarnation.
